On the scope and content of the EIA report on the assessment of the environmental impact / EIA/of investment proposal for the Construction of a port for public transport with regional importance in EZEROVO  the area of the existing material-technical base of “Transstroy Varna” Plc. in the village of Ezerovo, municipality Beloslav, region Varna.

DEAR CITIZENS,
In connection with the regulations and instructions of the RIEW-Varna I have to inform you that "TRANSSTROY Varna" Plc. works in the investment proposalfor the Construction of a port for public transport with regional importance in EZEROVO  the area of the existing material-technical base of “Transstroy Varna” JSC in the village of Ezerovo, municipality Beloslav, region Varna.
The territory of the future port currently represents production base for concrete building elements in aconcrete plantof  "Transstroy Varna”” Plc. on its own turf. The port will be implemented entirely within the existing urban territory, without prejudice to the adjacent territories and areas of ecological importance. Anchored off the port's South of the coast  in Varna Lake.
The port will include a kaywith an estimated length 240 m and a depth of 12.5 m with attached operational areas and areas for approach and maneuvering. The kay front will be assigned to berths for handling container vessels (carrying containers),  vessels carrying grain cargoes, general cargo vessels (carrying a variety of general cargo, including metals in different consolidated cargo units) and specialized dock for bitumen; operational zone to carry out handling operations along the length of the kay front; storage areas (indoor and outdoor); area for handling and shipment of cargo to/from cars and automotive motor grain cargoes, and bitumen loading/unloading facility; area for handling and shipment of cargo to/from railroad wagons;car scale area and another area with railway scale; parking lots, waiting zone, etc.
In connection with the investment proposal will be implemented: dredging activities in the area of the future port; Quay wall; reconstruction of water supply, sewage system and power supply.
Investment proposal falls under annex 1 of the EPA, t. and 23.2 pursuant to art. 92, para. 1 is subject to a mandatory EIA in relation to which this communication shall be established for consultations on the scope and content of the EIA report.
