The repair of Dyulin Passage is progressing

12 July 2024

The major repair of 34km of road III-906 through the Dyulin Passage is progressing.
The reconstruction of the section from Staro Oryahovo to Gyulovtsa started in the middle of May this year. The road section is important for the Black Sea Region because it connects the provinces of Varna and Burgas and is an alternative route to the Obzor Pass and the Aitos Passage.

Earthworks are currently being carried out on the site, the necessary geodetic measurements have been made, roadside vegetation has been cleared, the road gauge has been widened, the concrete curbs have been removed and the slopes have been cleaned.
The construction and installation are carried out without stopping the traffic, as the cars will pass in the lane where no work is being done. Drivers must drive carefully, at an appropriate speed and obey traffic signals.

The major repair of the Staro Oryahovo - Gyulovtsa section includes a complete reconstruction of the route and repair of two bridges over the rivers Dvoinitsa (at the 13th km) and Byala (at the 32nd km).

The activities are performed by "TRANSSTROY - VARNA" AD, and the term is 540 calendar days. The project is funded by the Road Infrastructure Agency's budget.
Construction supervision is carried out by the DZZD "Traffic Controls", with participants: "TRAFFIC HOLDING" EOOD and "CONTROLS" OOD.
